We are the Boston University Gliding and Soaring Club (BUGS), a student-led organization at Boston University. From designing styrofoam gliders to receiving flight instruction in our Stemme S6 glider, we try to do everything involving these unpowered aircrafts.
BUGS strives to connect the academic pursuit of aviation with actual hands-on experience for students that extend far beyond the classroom.
This academic 2026-2027 year, we are working towards providing scholarships for Boston University students to take discovery flights, where they will have the option to then pursue flight training and obtain their Private Pilot License - Glider (PPL-G) in our Stemme S6.
